Family members of a separatist leader Tuesday while accusing police of harassment said that during a nocturnal raid, they were beaten up by police.
A police party reportedly raided the house of Democratic Political Movement leader Shakil Ahmed Bhat located at Malik Angan Fathekadal, however, Bhat was not present in the house.
“The policemen not only ransacked our houses but also harassed and thrashed us. We repeatedly informed them that Shakeel has gone outside, but they continued to ransack the household items,” the mother of Shakil told CNS.
