A non-local labourer was killed after a wall of a government building collapsed and fell upon him at Pulwama in south Kashmir on Monday.
Official sources told GNS that a group of labourers were demolishing a government building near Deputy Commissioner’s office in Pulwama, suddenly a one side wall of the building collapsed and one of the labourers came under it.
The labourer was identified as Mubeenul-Haq son of Gayesdin of West Bengal was immediately evacuated to nearby hospital, sources said.
However, Haq later succumbed to injuries in the sub-district hospital Pulwama, sources said.
Meanwhile, police have taken all the necessary formalities for sending the body of the deceased to his relatives in West Bengal for last rites.
