SRINAGAR

Reports are coming that students from private college in Hyderpora have taken out an anti-Israel march and had assembled at Hyderpora Chowk when the last reports came in.

Students shouting “Down with Israel” spontaneously appeared on the road and were planning to visit UN office in Sonwar.

“Apart from pitching slogans in favour of Gaza,” one protester informed Kashmir Life over the phone, “students are also shouting anti-India slogans. We are right now assembled at Hyderpora Chowk.”

Meanwhile, reports are also coming that youth on bikes have taken out a large protest from Old Srinagar and are moving towards city centre Lal Chowk.

Pertinently, Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Monday had given an anti-Israel call on Tuesday and had asked students to wear black bands in their arms on Tuesday against Israeli pounding on Gaza.

But to thwart the same call, educational department issued a summer break to all educational institutes at eleventh hour.
