Clashes erupted between the forces and people on Thursday after the dead body of the slain civilian killed in Noorbagh Srinagar was carried by the mourners towards the Eidgah Srinagar for the burial.

Reports said that as the body of the slain civilian Mohammad Saleem Malik, 24, was lifted towards the Eid Gah for last rites, forces tried to intercept and disperse them, triggering clashes.
Malik had suffered bullet injuries and died after he was fired by the government forces during the cordon and search operation in the area.
Earlier authorities imposed curfew-like restrictions in old Srinagar and snapped the internet services in three districts of the Kashmir for the “security measures.”
