SRINAGAR: A fireman of the Fire and Emergency Services Department died on Sunday after accidentally falling from the third floor of a fire station building in Sogam area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Amin Khan, a resident of Bandipora, according to officials.
They said Khan was carrying out work on the third floor of the fire station when he accidentally fell from a height and sustained injuries.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
