SRINAGAR: Exchange of fire resumed between militants and security forces on Friday morning in Sagipora, North Kashmir’s Sopore, after an overnight lull.
A senior police official said that following specific intelligence, a joint team of police and army cordoned off a suspected area on Thursday evening.
An initial exchange of fire occurred, but operations were paused overnight for precautionary reasons. Security forces sealed all exits, and the operation resumed at first light. At the time of reporting, intense exchanges continued. (GNS)
