SRINAGAR: Two unidentified militants were killed in an ongoing encounter in the Sagipora area of Sopore, Baramulla district, officials said.
A joint operation was launched after credible intelligence on militant presence in Panipura, Sagipora. As security forces closed in, an exchange of fire erupted, leading to a fierce encounter.
“Two militants have been killed so far, with the operation ongoing. This is the third such encounter in north Kashmir in recent days,” they said. (KNO)
