On December 18, 2025, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Pattan by Furqan Akbar, resident of Trisal, Pulwama, alleging that he and his associate Suiliman Bhat were defrauded on the pretext of purchasing gold biscuits. According to the complainants, the accused initially took an advance of Rs 1,00,000 and later called them to Zangam Crossing to deliver the gold.
