A daily wager of Power Development Department committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Dalyian village of Bhaderwah.
Ranjeet Kumar 33, son of Bodhi Ram, a resident of Dalyian village, consumed some poisonous substance at his home, said a Police official. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah where doctors declared him brought dead.
Locals and relatives of the deceased claimed that he committed suicide as he was facing financial crunch as he was not paid wages by PDD department for last several months. Talking to this scribe many villagers of Dalyian village including Omi Chand, Surinder Kumar and others claimed deceased daily wager of PDD financial conditions was not good and he was struggling hard and it was due to this reason that he committed suicide.
They also pointed an accusing finger to the state government alleging “harassment” by not paying wages on the time which had forced him to end his life. However Police has registered a FIR in this connection at PS Bhaderwah and is investigating the case from different angles.
