SRINAGAR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Wednesday said that the BJP-led central government won’t talk to Pakistan but to the youth of Kashmir.

Addressing a rally in Baramulla, Shah said that Abdullah and Mufti families supported militancy and separatism in Kashmir while the BJP is getting in investment for job creation.

“They tell me to talk to Pakistan but I won’t,” Shah said. “ I would talk to the youth of Kashmir and the Gujjar-Bakerwal and Pahari people.”

He said that he feels pain when anybody is killed in Kashmir.

“The heaviest burden for anyone is to shoulder the coffin of a son. Which politician’s son has been killed in Kashmir?”

He said the central government won’t tolerate militancy and separatism which the Gupkar model is propagating.

“They asked me to provide the details of the work we did. They should also give the details of what they did in the last 70 years.”

He said that the Gupkar Model gave machine guns, and stones and shut schools in Jammu and Kashmir while they are giving laptops and mobiles for jobs.

He said those talking about Pakistan should come and sit with them to know how Pakistan Administered Kashmir lacks basic civic facilities.

On elections, he said the polls will be held with “full transparency” as soon as the work of compiling the voter’s list is completed.
