Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul Monday instructed installation of Close Circuit Cameras (CCTVs) in and around the Legislative Assembly Complex. He also directed keeping available a Fire Fighting Engine separately in the Legislative Assembly Complex to avoid any untoward incident.

Gul also instructed the authorities to ensure maintaining proper protocol of the legislators at the Jammu and Srinagar Airports so that they don’t face any inconvenience during their journeys.

He asked the authorities to speed up work of already constituted rescue teams in the State and keep close vigil on the menace of drug addiction among youth. He also stressed on the measures required for controlling incidents of suicides and sought the cooperation of the people in this behalf.

In a separate meeting, the Speaker desired that an inquiry into the killing of two youth from Kalamdanpora Nawab Bazar and Ganderbal area of Kashmir Valley who died in Mumbai and Rajasthan recently be conducted to know the truth.

The Speaker was chairing a high level meeting of the officers of Home Department here today.
