After plunging into government formation in Jammu and Kashmir by issuing statements apparently against any PDP-BJP tie-up, the separatist leadership of Jammu and Kashmir Friday said that governor’s rule is a ‘non-issue’ for them.

Reacting over the imposition of Governor’s Rule in JK, separatists including of Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the democratic government or Governor’s rule is a non-issue for them.

“You cannot term it a peoples’ government if some parties would have formed the same. It is the New Delhi which rules here,” Hurriyat Conference (G) led by Syed Ali Geelani said in a tele-statement to KNS.

“It maintained that the imposition of the governor’s rule is a non- issue for the people of the state and in no way shall change the situation on ground. When there was so called peoples’ government, wasn’t the killings and turbulent situation an order of the day at that time. This development at present doesn’t deserve a reaction at all.”

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq while termed the imposition of governor’s rule in JK as non-issue.

“The developments of such nature cannot change the situation on ground, it is indeed a non- issue for us.”

Hurriyat Conference (JK) senior leader Shabir Ahmad Shah stated that the polls held in the presence of 8 lakh troops have no relevance and governor’s rule is a non- issue for the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have been struggling for their birth right since decades.
