Srinagar
The district administration on Wednesday morning ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in Srinagar district in view of a gunfight between militants and the government forces in Nowgam area.
An official said the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid law and order situation in the district.
Reports said that the gunfight broke out early morning in Sathu area of Nowgam.
