National Students’ union of India (NSUI) protested against petrol price which was hiked by Rs 1.34 a litre on Saturday, the fifth increase in two months, and diesel by Rs 2.37 a litre.

Scores of NSUI activists demonstrated against the Centre government on Sunday at Jammu university gate towards Bikram chowk demanding immediate roll-back of the latest hike in petrol and diesel prices.

The students pushed their bikes and scooters from Jammu university gate towards Bikram chowk citing their inability to afford the sky-rocketing fuel prices and were raising slogans Modi Sarkaar Hai Hai, Doond Ka Lawoo Ache Din, Kahan Gaye Ache Din?
