Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Munir Khan Tuesday said that an alleged OWG who drove the suspected Jaish militants to BSF camp to carry out an attack, has been infentified.

“We have identified the OGW, rather a militant, who helped the Jaish militants reach the spot where they carried out the attack,” Khan said addresaing a hurriedly called presser at Humhama in Srinagar.

Three Jaish militants and a BSF officer were killed while three other forces personnel suffered injuries after Jaish militants of “Afzal Guru Squad” stormed a BSF camp on high security airport road during the wee hours of Tuesday.

Khan further said that Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant outfit was a threat due to their ability of carrying out “surprise fidayeen attacks”.

“We will have to deal with them (JeM) separately,” said Khan, adding, “such attacks will continue to happen as long as militancy and militants are there in Kashmir.”
