SRINAGAR: An old, rusted mortar shell was found in Bagyala Dhara village of Haveli tehsil in Poonch district on Monday and was later defused by the Army’s Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
Officials said the shell was spotted in the village, following which the Army’s BDS was called in.
The team defused the shell at the site as a precautionary measure, they said.
No loss of life or damage to property was reported in the incident. (GNS)
