Speaking at a cultural event during the 12-day camp at Badami Bagh Cantonment, Srinagar, the Chief Minister said the presence of cadets from across the country served as a morale boost for the people of the Valley. He encouraged the youth to take home memories of local hospitality and culture, saying, “Tell your families and friends about the Jammu and Kashmir you saw—the warmth of its people, the beauty of its culture, and the reality beyond headlines.”

The Chief Minister also referred to the recent Baisaran attack that claimed 26 lives, stating that while the year had brought sorrow, there remained hope. He called for continued engagement with the Valley, suggesting that future integration camps include train travel for cadets to witness the region’s evolving infrastructure.

Omar Abdullah praised the cadets for their cultural performances and emphasised the lasting value of friendships formed during such camps. He reiterated the strength of national unity, citing the preamble of the Constitution—“We, the People of India”—and said India’s diversity remained its greatest strength.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the significance of integration camps as platforms for building emotional and social cohesion. “These camps symbolise the spirit of India—an unbreakable bond among its people,” he said.

The event was attended by Ministers Sakeena Itoo and Satish Sharma, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, Major General Anupinder Bevli, Vice Chancellor of Cluster University Kashmir, senior army officials, and NCC cadets from various states and Union Territories.
