Omar Abdullah not an Astrologer: PDP

A day after former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ of PDP-BJP coalition as a “bundle of lies”, the PDP Wednesday said that Omar is not an astrologer who can predict everything.

“Omar Abdullah is not astrologer who can predict everything. Time will prove whether the agenda of alliance of PDP-BJP was bundle of lies or not,” PDP’s senior leader and R&B Minister Altaf Bukhari told KNS over phone.

He alleged that Omar was doing propaganda against the government. “After losing power NC does not know which direction they are going. They should first remove the confusion about their stand within their own party,” he said.

“It is an established fact that NC had created confusion and mess in Jammu and Kashmir during their tenure. It is the confusion created by NC and Congress which we are trying to sort out. We have not been able to get the real governance to start because of the confusion and mess created by the NC,” Bukhari claimed.

The senior PDP minister alleged the NC always sold out the trust and confidence of the people of Kashmir for power and luxuries. “PDP led government must be judged by the policies and work in coming time,” he said.

Omar had Tuesday described the ‘Agenda of Alliance’ of ruling PDP-BJP coalition as “bundle of lies”, accusing the government of taking the state towards “instability and chaos”.

“National Conference worked hard to keep BJP away from power in Jammu and Kashmir and even extended unconditional support to People’s Democratic Party (PDP). But (Chief Minister) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was not ready to make his masters angry and entered into a coalition with BJP,” he had said addressing a party convention in Kupwara district.

However, Bukhari said Omar Abdullah makes such statements just to revive his party which has received a huge set back. “All his legislators are in touch with the government. Why is he in so much hurry,” he asked.

“What Omar Abdullah did in six years which we have not been able to do in three months? Does he want a revolution should come within three months? People know very well what he did in his six years,” he added.
