Reacting to ruling PDP Minister’s claim that China is assuming a “much bigger role in Kashmir” and the Jaish-e-Mohammad has been veritably “adopted” by Beijing, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday asked New Delhi to explain the minister’s proclamation about China’s involvement in J&K affairs.

“China has adopted JeM, a terrorist organization operating in J&K. This assertion from @MehboobaMufti’s closest confidant cannot be dismissed as wild ramblings. Govt of India needs to explain the basis of this statement,” Omar wrote on Twitter.

China expanding its role in JK, has adopted JeM, says Nayeem Akhter

Pertinently, minister for Public Works Department Nayeem Akhtar in an interview to an English daily linked China’s consistent vetoing to designate chief of Jaish-e-Muhammad militant outfit Masood Azhar as a “terrorist in United Nations” with Kashmir situation.
