SRINAGAR

The chief minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday chaired a post snowfall meeting at Banquet Hall in Srinagar. The chief minister arrived to Srinagar from Jammu in the afternoon to chair the meeting.

The meeting was attended by top officers of the civil and police administration wherein the chief minister directed them to gear up and address the problems surfaced due to heavy snowfall.

A senior officer who attended the meeting said that the chief minister stressed on restoration of power supplies, snow clearance; restoration of telecommunication services and availability of essential commodities in Kashmir. The meeting was attended by divisional commissioner Kashmir, IGP Kashmir, SMC officers, officers of BSNL and Border Roads Organization.
