Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Monday restrained his father, Union minister Dr Farooq from talking to media in Kangan.

Father son duo was in the Kangan area of Ganderbal district to address an election rally on the last day of campaigning for Srinagar Lok sabha seat.

On the sidelines of the rally, when media persons asked Farooq to comment on Modi’s statement wherein he alleged Abdullah family of “communalizing atmosphere in Kashmir” his Chief Minister son restrained him from talking. Omar however said that Farooq will talk about it in his public address.

 Farooq in his address said that the ongoing election was an existential battle for them.

“It is an existential battle for us,” Farooq said without reacting to Modi’s statement.
