A class 8th student of Tiny Hearts School Srinagar drowned in a power canal at Kangan on Thursday. The boy has been identified as Saadut Hussain of Solina Srinagar.
Giving details, a police official said that Hussain was playing with his school mates at Environment Park in Kangan when the mishap took place.
Police and locals are trying to fish out the body from the stream.
