Dukhtarans Protest Against Their Detained Chief, Beef Ban, Internet Blockade

Activists of Dukhtarani Milat Thursday staged protests at Srinagar’s press colony against the detention of their leader Aasiya Andrabi.

A group of burka-clad protesters carried banners and shouted slogans against the present dispensation. Terming the detention as illegal, the protesters called for the immediate release of their chief.

The activists also lodged protest against the High Court decision of banning beef and the 72 hour long Internet blockade.
