SRINAGAR: One dead while four others injured after an Alto car met with an accident in Kralpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

Car plunges into river at Kralpora.

A police official said that an Alto car bearing registration number HR51-7420 who was on way from Rashanpora to Kupwara skidded off the road and plunged into Nallah near Kralpora bridge, resulting on spot death of a 19-year old girl while four others critically injured in the mishap.

Soon after the incident Police party and locals rushed to the spot and the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

An official identified the deceased was identified as Usma Iqbal (19) daughter of Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, a resident of Rashanpora.

The injured were identified as Asif Ahmad Bhat (20) Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, Jabeena Begum wife of Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat son of Mohammad Abdullah Bhat (55), a government employee of FCS&CA and Bashir Ahmad Beigh (45) son of Ghulam Hassan Beigh all residents of Rashanpora, said an official.

He said that a case has been registered in this regard.
