SRINAGAR
One person died and three others were injured in two separate road accidents in the valley. A police statement said on Friday.
A Tanker bearing registration number JK014B/6707 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01H/6680 near Chachkoot, Awantipora, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Sameer Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rashid and pillion Shabir Ahanger son of Ghulam Mohammad residents of Shala Bagh, Anchar Soura, Srinagar.
Both the injured were shifted to Hospital where Shabir Ahmad Ahanger succumbed to his injuries. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives of last rites.
Meanwhile, an unknown vehicle hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK018/3425 near Zadoora Crossing, Mirbazar, Kulgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist Javid Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Aziz resident of Bhanghal, Kulgam. The injured has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
In another accident, a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK03C/7610 hit and injured a nine-year old Nawaz Ahmad Rather resident of Buchoo at Buchoo, Islamabad. The injured boy was shifted to hospital for treatment.
