One person died while two others were injured in two separate road accidents in the valley, police said on Sunday.
In Srinagar, an unknown Maruti car hit a Motorcycle at Srinagar-Muzaffarabad Highway near Unani Hospital Shalteng Parimpora, resulting in death of motorcyclist Junaid Bilal son of Bilal Ahmad resident of Iqbal colony Bemina and injuries to pillion mate Uzair Bashir resident of Karfali Mohalla Habakadal. After completing of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites and the injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
In Awantipora, a tractor bearing registration number JK03A-9104 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Shahzada Suhail resident of Batgund at Batgund Tral. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
