SRINAGAR: One person was killed and another seriously injured after a car skidded off the road and rolled down a gorge along the Kandi-Jamola road in Rajouri district on Friday.
Officials said the vehicle went out of control before plunging off the road, resulting in the on-the-spot death of 25-year-old Mohd Arif. Another person, identified as Sabar Hussain, sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Soon after the accident, locals and police reached the spot and shifted the injured person to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (GNS)
