SRINAGAR: One person was killed and four others were injured after a Baleno car met with a major accident at Sarthal in Tehsil Bani of Kathua district on Friday.
Officials said that the accident took place at Sarthal Mode. The deceased has been identified as Monika, wife of Suveer Kotwal, aged 29, a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah.
The injured have been identified as Suveer Kotwal, son of Balwan Singh, aged 33, a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah; Parshanta Kotwal, son of Balwant, aged 59, a resident of Bhaderwah; Balwant Kotwal, son of Bajnath Kotwal, aged 61, a resident of Dandi Bhaderwah; and Vikram Singh, son of Ranjeet Singh, aged 33, a resident of Purkhu Damana, Jammu.
All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident. (GNS)
