SRINAGAR: A 60-year-old pedestrian was killed in a road accident in Cherwan Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday afternoon.
Police Sources said that an elderly man was hit by a speedy Tata Sumo Bearing Registration number JK01L-5750 near Cherwan Kangan on Srinagar-Leh highway leaving him critically injured.
He was immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Kangan where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Gh Mohmad Magray S/O Sonaullah Magray R/0 Cherwan Kangan.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and investigations are on.
