One more militant was killed in an ongoing encounter with the counter-insurgent forces in Sugoo village district of south Kashmir’s Shopian district taking the death toll of militants to three, an official said.
He said that one more militant was killed in the gunfight in Sugoo area of Shopian district.
He added that the identity and group affiliation of slain militants were being ascertained.
Earlier, police had said that two militants were killed in the encounter.
This was third encounter since Sunday. On Sunday five militants were killed in Reban village and four were killed on Monday in Pinjoora village of the district, taking the total number of militants killed in last four days to 12.
