As a part of drive against drug peddlers, Doda police laid a naka for routine checking at Chapra near Ghadsoo Pul Doda here on Thursday and intercepted one vehicle bearing registration number JK03E-6851 on way from Thathri to Pul Doda.
During the checking of vehicle one electronic weighing machine was found for which the driver namely Ajaz Ahmed Ganai son of Abdul Shaban Ganai resident of Bonigam Qazigund was questioned who could not give any satisfactory answer, which created suspicion, police said.
Upon further searching, 13.2 grams of Heroine was recovered from his possession.
A case under FIR No. 116/17 u/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Bhaderwah and investigation taken up.
