SRINAGAR: A CRPF personnel has been injured in the ongoing encounter in Khanyar area of Srinagar district of Central Kashmir. The encounter started in the morning hours on Saturday.
The CRPF personnel was injured during the ongoing gunfight between militants and security forces. He has been rushed to hospital for the treatment. As per sources, his condition is stable.
An official said that there are reports of two to three militants being trapped. So far, there are no reports of any militant killed in the encounter. The area has been cordoned and the exchange of fire is going on.
In a separate encounter in Halkan Gali of Shangus area in Anantnag, two militants have been killed. The gunfight is underway to eliminate the third trapped militant.
