In view of the inclement weather, to ensure safety and security of passengers, it has been decided to implement one way Traffic on Srinagar Jammu Highway.
According to government press release, all kinds of passenger vehicles bound for Srinagar are required to cross TCP Nagrota by 1100 Hrs and Udhampur by 1230 Hrs for onward journey towards Kashmir valley. While cutting time for heavy vehicles shall be 1200 Hrs at Nagrota and 1400 Hrs at TCP Udhampur, beyond which no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed for onward journey to Kashmir valley.
Similarly on alternate days, all kinds of passenger vehicles bound for Jammu shall have to cross TCP Panthachowk by 0900 Hrs, Khanabal by 1100 Hrs and Qazigund by 1200 Hrs. The cut off time for heavy vehicles shall be 1400 Hrs at Qazigund, beyond which no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Lower Munda/J.T for onward journey.
