Srinagar

Authorities on Saturday allowed the traffic movement for stranded vehicles after clearing the debris at many places in Ramban district.

An official of the traffic department said that landslides and shooting stones which had blocked the highway at Maroge, Anokhifall, Panthal and Mom Passi were cleared partially and the traffic was restored at around 6:30 pm.

He said that only the light motor vehicles stranded at Ramban, Chanderkote and Batote are being allowed to move on the highway.

The official said that once the landsides and the shooting stones will be cleared properly, then only the heavy motor vehicles will be allowed to move.

The official advised the people to start their journey on the national highway only after confirming the status of the road from the traffic police control room in view of weather condition.
