The decision follows Thursday’s mid-match cancellation between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala, after air raid alerts were issued in nearby areas including Jammu and Pathankot.

The development comes after India carried out missile strikes targeting militant infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in response to the April 22 attack in Pahalgam that left 26 dead.

The league was originally set to conclude on May 25 in Kolkata.

Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Super League was relocated to the UAE due to the worsening situation.
