In the state of Jammu and Kashmir there are only two juvenile homes presently functional that have been built up recently. In Kashmir region the juvenile home was established in Harvan Srinagar and in Jammu region it was established in RS Pora.
The government also informed that the juveniles are provided with study material on moral education and further psycho social counselors are periodically deputed to these homes for counseling of the juveniles.
The information was revealed in the state legislative assembly under a starred question asked by a lawmaker, Ajat Shatru Singh.
