Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, are expected to speak, despite the Opposition’s demand that the Prime Minister address both Houses and the nation on the issue, as reported in the media.

Demands for a debate on Operation Sindoor have been building over the past week, with the Opposition seeking answers on the recent Pahalgam terror attack and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar.

The Opposition has insisted that these two issues be addressed before the House proceeds with any other business. Treasury Benches noted during the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting that the Opposition had requested the presence of both the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister during the debate. “That’s why the discussion has been scheduled for next week,” Indian Express reported.

Operation Sindoor, was a retaliatory strike following the Pahalgam terror attack and involved targeted operations on terror camps located within the territory of Pakistan.
