SRINAGAR: Orchardly, an agritech platform focused on providing data-driven solutions to farmers, was on Thursday named the Top Emerging Startup of Jammu and Kashmir at the JK Startup Awards held at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Jammu.

The award was presented during the JK Startup Mela by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, who felicitated startups contributing to innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth in the Union Territory. Orchardly received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with a certificate of excellence.
Orchardly CEO Ehsan Quddusi said the recognition reflected the collective efforts of farmers and innovators working to integrate technology with agriculture. He said the platform aims to strengthen the connection between innovation and orchards and expand its impact across Jammu and Kashmir.
Founded to promote smarter and more resilient farming practices, Orchardly offers real-time weather advisories, crop insights, mandi price updates, and scientific recommendations to growers. The platform works with thousands of farmers, supporting the adoption of modern agricultural practices to improve productivity and incomes.
Orchardly seeks to build a technology-driven ecosystem that links farmers with knowledge, markets, and sustainable solutions, while strengthening the agricultural value chain from farm to market.
The recognition at the JK Startup Awards marks a key milestone for Orchardly and underscores the growing role of agritech startups in driving rural innovation and economic development in the region.
