Over 300 patients were offered free specialized medical consultancy today at a free medical camp organized by the J&K Bank at Rajouri. The camp, second in a row in the district was a part of the Bank’s ‘health for all’ initiative launched to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee and it was supported by the district hospital Rajouri.

As per a statement District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, F C Bhagat inaugurated the camp in presence of the Bank’s Zonal Head Jammu West Zone, Gurcharan Singh, chief medical officer, Rajouri, Dr Z A Shawl and medical superintendent, Dr Arun Sharma.

Doctors and para-medical staff from the district hospital, super specialists doctors from Jammu Dr Adarsh Bhagat- Neurosurgeon, Dr Arun Sharma- Hepotology, Dr Manoj Gupta- gastro surgery, Dr Vipin Gupta- endocrinology and Dr Koushal Khajuria- paed nephrology treated the patients.

Besides consultations, some free clinical test facilities were made available to the patients. Free medicines were also distributed to the poor and old patients.

Speaking on the occasion, FC Bhagat, DDC Rajouri hailed the bank for organizing such free medical camps. He hoped that the bank would be conducting such camps at far off places where medical facilities are not easily available.

Gurcharan Singh, Zonal Head, announced that under the “Health for all” initiative launched by the Bank to celebrate its Platinum Jubilee, another such camp would be held in Poonch soon.
