On the 69th Independence Day of Pakistan, forces in Jammu sector early Friday claimed that Pakistani Rangers violated ceasefire by firing at Indian Posts in Poonch area.
This evening, Geo TV reported that a lady was allegedly killed and three other people injured in “unprovoked Indian shelling across Line of Control”.
“Locals say intermittent shelling and firing from Indian forces was still ongoing in Nezapir areas,” the news channel added.
A woman identified as Nayra Akhtar was killed while her husband and two daughters sustained wounds in Haveli Azad Kashmir area near LoC, Geo TV further said.
“Three houses were also destroyed in Indian shelling in the area.”
