SRINAGAR: Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district on Friday, according to multiple media reports.
The incident took place around noon at TMG (Toot Mar Gali) in the Nowgam sector, when posts across the border in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) fired small arms at Indian positions, officials said.
The firing ceased after a brief period, with no casualties or injuries reported.
Security personnel have maintained heightened vigilance in the area, officials added, while urging residents to remain calm.
