The Army has stepped up surveillance and security measures along the LoC amid rising tensions with Pakistan. Troops remain on high alert across sensitive forward areas.

This follows a similar incident on Sunday night, when Punjab Police detained a 24-year-old Pakistani national in Gurdaspur for illegally crossing the International Border. The individual, identified as Husnain, was carrying a Pakistani identity card and currency worth Rs 40.
