SRINAGAR: A Pakistani national has been apprehended by the Indian Army from the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, ANI reported, citing Army officials.
The Army has stepped up surveillance and security measures along the LoC amid rising tensions with Pakistan. Troops remain on high alert across sensitive forward areas.
This follows a similar incident on Sunday night, when Punjab Police detained a 24-year-old Pakistani national in Gurdaspur for illegally crossing the International Border. The individual, identified as Husnain, was carrying a Pakistani identity card and currency worth Rs 40.
