SRINAGAR: Residents in Pampore said they are waiting for water supply to resume so that they could get up and breakfast but it is yet to become re-operational.
“Since last night, the taps are not operational and we do not have any water,” one resident said. “We are just waiting because we do not have any option.”
Pampore is located on the banks of the Jhelkum river but the quality of the water is unfit for human consumption.
PHE officials have told the residents that the water level has gone phenomenally down and failed the scheme. Earlier, we used to get the water from Tangnaar scheme but this time, it is also behaving very abnormally, one resident was informed by the PHE officials.
