Immediately after an ambush in Hyderpora and later firing in Barzulla, Srinagar, Police and paramilitary personnel started checking at almost all entry and exit points to Lalchowk and other uptown areas of Srinagar.
Eye witness told Kashmir Life that police and CRPF personnel has put barricades and thorough checking is going on at various places in Srinagar.
Earlier panic gripped when the news of two consecutive incidents spread. People rushing to safer places met many check points, adding to their miseries as frequent traffic jams were witnessed.
“As i was rushing to home in auto, we were subjected to checking at three points, starting from Munawarabad,” said Raqib while talking to Kashmir Life.
