In infamous Papa Kishtwari case the Court Saturday gave last opportunity to SSP Srinagar to produce the status report pertaining to the investigation with regard to the recovery of arms and ammunitions from former Ikhwani Papa Kishtwari gang.
According to CNS, in Papa Kishtwari case, the applicant Zahoor Ahmed Mir’s counsel Advocate Babar Jan Qadri pleaded before the Court that since the non-applicant that is Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar has failed to produce the status report pertaining to the investigation with regard to the recovery of arms from Papa Kishtwari gang and who are the persons responsible for providing arms to that illegal group, may be investigated by Special Team supervised by the Court itself.
The Court after hearing the arguments from the Counsel of the applicant gave last opportunity to SSP Srinagar through prosecution to produce the status report by or before Feb 3 this year which is the next date for hearing.
