The camp, scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm at the hospital premises, will offer free cancer screening and consultations by specialist doctors. The initiative aims to create awareness about cancer symptoms, prevention, and the importance of regular health check-ups.

Doctors said early detection plays a crucial role in improving cancer treatment outcomes and survival rates. The camp will help people identify possible health concerns at an early stage and seek appropriate medical guidance.

“Early detection can save lives. We urge people not to ignore symptoms or delay health check-ups. This free cancer screening camp is an opportunity for everyone to prioritise their health and seek expert medical advice,” said Dr Murtuza Habib, Facility Director, PARAS Health Srinagar.

He said the hospital is committed to making quality oncology services more accessible and increasing awareness about cancer prevention and early diagnosis.

Dr Habib added that PARAS Health Srinagar has been strengthening oncology services in Jammu and Kashmir by providing advanced diagnostic facilities, multidisciplinary expertise, and comprehensive cancer care under one roof.

The hospital said it continues to conduct community outreach programmes, preventive healthcare initiatives, and specialised screening camps to improve healthcare access and outcomes in the region.

The free screening camp will be held at PARAS Health Srinagar on July 5 from 10 am to 3 pm, and members of the public have been encouraged to participate.
