A car was stolen from Casualty parking in the premises of SMHS hospital here on Thursday.
Khurshid Ahmad Illahi, an area manager with a Pharmaceutical company in Kashmir, told Kashmir Life that he was in Srinagar on Thursday scheduled to drop medicine of worth Rs 20000 to a medical shop. “I parked my 2005 model Alto car (Jk 03 A – 3428) in the Casualty parking in SHMS around 12 PM that day.”
“I met my colleague there and we drove to Sopore in his car,” he added, “when I returned around 5 in the evening, I found my car missing.”
Khurshid said that he showed the receipt of the parking to the parking space manager. “My car key too was missing. When I asked the parking slot manager about my car he feigned ignorance,” he said, “I went to Police station Karan Nagar and FIR was registered.”
When contacted SHO Karan Nagar Police Station said, “we have registered a case and investigation has been started.” “these are routine crime cases and we are investigating them. Only last month, we recovered two stolen cars.”
