People in several parts of Tral on Monday observed a complete shutdown against the alleged thrashing of a militant’s family by army last night, reports said. Army’s 42 Rashtriya Rifles allegedly thrashed a Hizbul Mujahideen militant’s family in Wagad hamlet of Aripal tehsil last night, they said.
The incident has triggered a shutdown in Tral, Aripal and and its adjoining areas.
On Sunday night, army men allegedly barged into the residence of a Hizb militant Mushtaq Ahmed Chopan and thrashed his old aged father, Ghulam Ahmed Chopan.
