Pahalgam Development Authority has intensified its demolition drive against the illegal constructions in the area and more than 13 structures were Sunday demolished at various places in Pahalgam, an official statement said.
“Demolition team consisting of PDA officials, Police and other concerned led by Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority today demolished the structures at Khelan, Movera, Lidroo, Branward, Rangward, Pahalgam market and Sadhupadaw,” the statement said.
Chief Executive Officer on this occasion revealed that no illegal structure or construction shall be allowed in or around Pahalgam besides on the banks of river Lidder.
“He further revealed that other illegal structures and violations are being identified and will be razed to ground in comes days. In no way and no circumstances any kind of violation of court orders will be tolerated. He further added that demolition drive will continue till all illegal structures are demolished,” the statement said.
CEO sought cooperation of common masses in general and Pahalgam Welfare Forum in particular for making Pahalgam a world class tourist destination. He said that Pahalgam Development Authority is working on various tourist projects for increasing the tourist infrastructure to attract more and more tourists towards this world famous tourist spot, the statement said.
