Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti Saturday appointed noted broadcaster Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor as the Media Advisor of the party.
Daughter-in-law of the famous Kashmiri poet Ghulam Mohammad Mehjoor of Mitrigam, Pulwama, Nayeema had joined PDP earlier this year.
Nayeema worked with BBC Urdu Service before giving her job to join politics. She has also worked with Radio Kashmir Srinagar.
Nayeema’s husband Abdal Ahmad Mahjoor is also a famous broadcaster.
